What is a good beginner camera for photography under $600? I'm interested in starting photography, and I want to know what you believe to be the best beginner's camera. I'm looking at the D80's but they seem to run about 800. Since I'm not sure I want to pursue this hobby I want to spend about 600 only. Include lenses, or any other equiptment (I don't know that much) in the cost. I want to have a camera that does not blur easily.. I am a beginner.

Good beginner photography camera? I'm in high school and next year I will be taking a photography AND graphics design course. Both of which i'll need a good camera for. So I've decided to upgrade and get a better camera for my classes and because it's becoming a hobby of mine. My main wants with a camera are low light problems (something that brightens things up if there is little light) and red eye reduction. My parents are willing to spend up to $350 on the camera. I'm new to all this so I'm not familiar with which brands are the best and everything. So I would just like some suggestions on which ones would be good for that price range. Thanks a bunch.
What is a good afordable camera for a photography beginner? I am starting to get interested in photography, as a hobby only and to save on my own children's pictures. What would be a good affordable camera in my affordable price range of up to $1,000. I know that I want something that can take quick pictures, and something that can take a picture quickly after the previous pic to capture those candid shots. Also, I know that I want 10 megapixels. I was looking into that Olympus E-410. Any ideas I would love to hear.
The BEST book or website that teaches a beginner DSLR PHOTOGRAPHY? Just starting out and need to know the basics that every photographer needs to know. I've taken pictures with point and shoots for years, but want to advance. Needs to have photography terms and instructions for all aspects of photography... from which lenses to use for certain photos to cleaning the lenses (and everything in between). Thanks.

Good beginners Photography book? I really enjoy photography and now looking to get a bit serious in the subject matter. Can anyone recommend any good digital photography books that will help me improve the photos that I take. I am a complete beginner in the subject area, so it would be great if you could recommend books that explain depths of field, shutter speed etc. I use a Fuji FinePix F11 digital camera.
What are the basics to an online photography business for a beginner? How do I take professional pics? How do I photoshop them? How do I set up my own website and add paypal options to the site? What is the best camera and photoshop to buy? Will it be expensive? How much should I charge for people to download the pics? How do you make the pics copyrighted on your site so people can't save pictures without paying? So many questions and I admit it is a very ambitious project!

Help with my beginners photography please? I am a beginner to photography and have just purchased a film SLR on which to learn the basics and build up a portfolio. I want to concentrate on dark, brooding, gothic scenes such as castles and cathedral ruins at dusk, storm clouds, raging seas, deep shadows (both in a rural and urban setting) and thunder and lightning. Is ther anything specific I need to get to grips with bearing in mind my subject material? Also, as blacks and greys will be predominant, is it worth me buying colour film? Note how I changing between interior and exterior environments with this gothic, shadowy feel being the only common factor. As an aside, what else can I include in a portfolio that stays with this character, but adds perhaps a little more vivacity in case the album is seen as being too glum or monotone? Thanks! Oh and I forgot forests if this is important; woods in winter time, as well as under the lightless canopy! Thanks

Questions from a beginner to photography!? Well, I am new to photography, up until now I 've only been using standard cameras that produced low quality pictures. Everybody is going on and on about dslr cameras. How much does a relatively good camera cost, and is there any point for a beginner to buy it? What kind of camera would you suggest for a beginner and how could I slow get introduced into using it without taking classes( I can't afford them right now) Thanks a lot!

Any Camera Recommendations for a Beginner Photography Student? As a beginner photography student we're required to have a 35mm Or a 120 equipped with manual controls with normal 55 mm lens. Being completely new to this area & on an extremely tight budget, I'm completely clueless as to what camera would be best for a beginner for me all the while being decently priced. Also, where would I be able to find a camera? I browsed at 2 different photography shops recommended by my instructor & found a Nikon N6006 for $160, EOS Rebel G for $155, Cannon T70 for $150, & a EOS Rebel T2 for $165; all used & comes with lens (I wasn't sure what sort of lens). Are these cameras appropriate for the type required for my class (yes, I am THAT clueless when I hardly understand the camera descriptions)? Or what else would you recommend? & can anyone tell me what the terms "DSLR" & "SLR" mean?
Are there any good basic books on beginners photography? Photography Beginner SLR Cannon Rebel? I'm so excited to have found a new hobby (possibly a new career in the future)!!! Can anyone give me some tips for a beginner? No particular topic, just anything you can help me with. I just finished a 36 hour course at Sheridan College re: how to use the camera and understanding all the functions. Please share your photography tips, experiences, work possibilities, techniques I could try...any info at all would be greatly appreciated as well as any free web sites. Thank you! For those that think I'm on the computer all day....or think I'm banking on a career......I own a very sucessful business and have 2 young children (who happen to be sick today...so asking questions during this freak quiet time is not a bad thing!) I do understand that taking photos is the only way to get better.....I guess what I'm seeking is a few more tips and a little encouragement....no need for a Nikon just yet....I'm a beginner and learning technique can be done just fine with what I'm using at the moment. THANK YOU to all of you that have provided me with more direction and input...it's greatly appreciated. Keep the answers coming!

Can anyone recommend some fabulous and good photography books?? Beginner-ish level...? I have just started a photography course and am looking to get a few books to learn a little more and help me along. I am looking for something that can help me really understand aperture, shutter speed, and all the basics etc preferably with visual examples. Must be an easy to understand book. Then I am also looking for something that is a little more 'creative'.......you know learn to really explore the world of photography, something with loads of really amazing photos as inspiration and how to see things differently than the average photographer. So if anyone has read anything along these lines plz let me know - thanks!!

Anyone know of a good weekend residential photography course in the UK (not beginner)? My wife and son are going away for a weekend soon and I was thinking of booking myself on a photography course, but I can't find a decent one. I'm not a beginner, so I don't want to be taught to suck eggs. Something that specialises in digital & travel photography would be cool. I've looked into the LSP course, but can't find any reviews...... Rob.

I was thinking something that looked like this ---> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7026069&st=digital+cameras&type=product&id=1099394810083 price really isnt a factor but that is pretty expensive (right) What kind of camera would be good and isnt all that complecated also i wouldnt be able to devolpe my own film
Night photography with 35mm SLR camera (beginner, help needed)? I've got myself a lovely old, Minolta SRT101 camera with the original Rokkor 55mm f1.7 lens attached to it. I'm basically just after some free advice about shooting at night with it. I've got a tripod and one of those release cables. But when it comes to the settings, I'm a little confused. I plan on using 400 ASA films, the widest aperture setting (which is f1.7 on this lens) and shutter speeds like 1/60, 1/30 and 1/15 of a second. With all these settings in mind and in conjunction with a tripod and release cable, should my shots be really crisp and clear? I should also point out that the photos I'll be taking will be of city lights, street lit scenes, car light trails etc. so no flash required. Thanks, a complete novice.
