What is a good camera to buy and use if I will pursue Photography? Good quality and practical for a beginner.?
I would like to pursue photography as a hobby and I am looking for a digital camera suitable for this purpose. I like a not very expensive one since I am not yet professional, something that has very good output and results, good quality and parts, affordable and practical to use for a beginner like me. =)

- A Canon Powershot would be a fair starter camera. They have both auto & manual modes, and have about 5-6 megapixel resolution. Also, their settings are similar to Canon's EOS SLR line, so it's easy to upgrade when you are ready.
- If you want to go new, I would suggest the intro models that Nikon and Canon have. So either the Nikon D50 or the Canon Digital Rebel XT. They are both SLR cameras, which basically means that their lens are interchangeable. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just skipped the high end prosumer cameras that have all the features of an SLR, but a fixed lens. That money would have been better spent just going SLR. But if you want to go used, I would say go with one of the used Nikons of Canons, being the Nikon D70 (not the brand new D70S) or a Canon like the 10D or plain Digital Rebel (not Rebel XT). It's kind of a generic answer, but eBay is a good place to price these things. Me personally, I'd go with the Canon 10D. If you're really serious about this as a hobby, you'll find that the fixed lens digital cameras will bore you quickly. I also do this as a hobby and went from a camera to camera until I got the Canon 10D. I spent well over a thousand dollars over the past two years on other cameras that didn't satisfy my hobby until I got the Canon 10D. All mostly wasted money, even though I still use them sparingly. If your budget just won't allow you to buy a used Digital SLR, then just make sure that whatever you buy, that is has plenty of the manual controls so that you can be creative in your hobby. Good luck.
