  1. istockphoto.com, that is a site hat beginers can sell through
  2. This is a rather tough field to break into. I would suggest you make up a folder of what you think are some of your best pictures and take them to a local art gallery that deals in photography and get a professional opinion of their value and possibly market them through a gallery. You would probably have to pay some commission until you had some name recognition, however it would probably jump start your career.
  3. Art fairs are really good, they go from city to city and all u have to do is set up a booth. Its really good for selling any art and but if u don't sell alot in one city you can still get your name out there and give out cards. I've been to a few art fairs and i've bought some photos so that's what i would recommend, and theres E-bay too but i don't kno much about that, its not as personal...u get to talk to the artists when u go to the art fairs.
  4. Not long ago, I was walking an Istambul crowded market, and an 8 yrs old kid who was working with his mother, showed me some Manga drawings he was making. He was so proud and the images were more or less interesiting, so I asked him how much would he charge for them... he say a dime each.... I spend 10 minutes choosing one, I pay him 5 bucks because I really like the image,, and he was so happy. *his mother eyes were humid and seh new it was more a long time acceptance of the sons aptitudes than the $5. SO.... The best way to sell any image.... is not to sell an image, is to sell a feeling, a precious moment. If you sell feelings, and those relate to people fantasies and dreams... they will buy them, even if the photos are not funny. Let me suggest 2 experiments. 1/ Place some images in one of the popular photo sites... for example www.sxc.hu If your images are for the general public they buy them... not many, but some... 2// If you got a digital camera, enter the manufacturers website. It is almost sure your camera came with a photo sharing application.... place some there, just to see.... If you have some special type of photography, for example, UV/IR, buildings, foot.... you should offer your work to the respective consumers.. for example, I like food photography, so I sell some photos to an ice cream shop, and a restaurant for their menus... Grab an Image!
