is pentax camera good for a beginner who aspires to learn good photography?

the camera I'm planning to buy is not brand new and manual use at that. I just want to have that"gut" feel if I'm not throwing away a day's worth of money:) Thanks!

2. It is not the camera, but primarily the brain and eye behind it, that will make you a good photographer. Well if oyu are asking for a brand name then Pentax is good enough to ignite your photography spree. But be sure that the camera is functioning properly and not mal used before you buy.
3. If you want to really learn photography you will need a camera that you can manually set the "Big 3" settings for exposure: - Aperture - Shutter Speed - ISO If you can set those 3 things, any camera will be fine for learning purposes (as long as the lens is okay).
