What is a good digital camera for a beginner looking for a career in photography???

I'm 15 and want to pursue a career in photography, I'm not sure which kind of camera I should start out with! Ive had a camera phone, and a digital camera but they aren't enough to capture the images i want. I was thinking something that looked like this ---> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7026069&st=digital+cameras&type=product&id=1099394810083 price really isnt a factor but that is pretty expensive (right) What kind of camera would be good and isnt all that complecated also i wouldnt be able to devolpe my own film

  1. i say the canon is a very nice one(: dont get polariod those suckssss. lol
  2. The Canon is an excellent camera and that price isn't back at all I bought the lower model a few years ago and payed twice that. You can check out my web site and see the kind of pictures you can take with this camera and remember mine in only 6.8mp as compared to the 8mp your look at. http://www.windfallphotography.com
  3. Its an excellent camera. a
  4. Nikon D40. Rated by a bunch of magazines (Consumer Reports, Macworld) as the Best Value for a digital SLR.
  5. go with a dslr.....digital camera. Nikon and Canon are the top of the line. The price on the Canon in your picture is pretty bottom of the barrel in pricing. You can spend a lot of money in photo equipment, so the one you picked is not a bad place to start. You can get a kit.....camera, battery, lense, bag, etc. for 500-800 $. That is all you need to get going, begin the learning process, and to see if this is really your niche. If it is, don't worry the money spent on camera equip comes back rather quickly. Best of luck to you. also with digital there is no film.....you can delete bad pics which will save you money. There are tons of places to develop pics....so it is convenient.
  6. I love that camera, i have it and I'm a college student who does photography. That's also quite cheap for a digital SLR. They have an updated version for that for about a 100 more so i recommend getting that one. It's the XTi.
  7. Antoni... you're advising the 15-year-old girl with that lens? LOL you're joking, aren't you?
  8. We use the Canon Rebel XTI at the Art Institute... it's a pretty nice DSLR and is reasonably priced. If you plan on going to photography school then get a DSLR with atleast 10MP.
