- Go for it, if your pictures are good then, show them to some local papers, magazines, or if you have enough, try to see if you could hold a small, display at the library, or community centre. I wish you the very best of luck, thought!!!!!!!!!! try family and take their pictures, tell them what you are doing, maybe that's a start
- You probably have a lot of personal friends and contacts at school, right? They probably spend a lot of time on social networking sites like facebook? They probably like great photos of themselves on those sites too? I'd make a 'reflector' and get some basic through to advanced portraiture tips and then do some freebies for one or two of your friends... practice time - then charge everyone else say £5 - a 'no brainer' fee. Charge say £10 if they want a 10x8 print as well (a good extra option for Christmas, mothers days and birthdays.) ONLY give them one picture each time - make it the very best one! This is where you will find your basic through to pro techniques for free: Basics = http://www.image-nut.com/spip.php?rubrique86 Quick tips (inc portrait shooting) = http://www.image-nut.com/spip.php?rubrique90 Study first - read from the start as this is a free 'linear' course - so it starts off at the beginning, it's simply explained and it then goes into more advanced / pro level stuff! Then practice with 1 or 2 friends. Experiment with different ideas - someone will copy you and if so keep doing new things... so be the first! If you can get 10 people to pay £5 each you'll soon be motoring I'd say. You can always charge more and discount for your friends too, which is a good way to keep people sweet - and to give other friends a 'commission'. Once you are confident your photos can speak for themselves... Go for it! ;)
- On-line, redbubble is good. Micheal U's suggestion is also good, and the links to advice is very good if you'll do portraits, and portraits sell if you have time and are able to do them well.
- Hi, I am not selling my photos yet but I am planning to. I suggest you make a website - I am using Mr site (24 pounds for a years subscription from Amazon). Have a look http://www.mrsite.co.uk/ & http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mr-Site-PC-Mac/dp/B000I59YJU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1206026505&sr=8-1 Hope this helps...
- deviantart.com is a good way also to show your work off
- http://www.redbubble.com/ but you will have to have an account in your parents name. Its a great site for learning, and getting ideas. I am on there, and have learnt a lot. Message me, and I will send you a link through to my profile. Also, what Michael says, about friends and family. Go for it girl, and good luck.
