What is the best way to start selling my photos as a beginner photographer?
I have been interested in photography for years and jusr got my first Digital SLR. I would love to start a career as a photographer and am willing to work hard and start at the bottom. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get my foot in the door. Also, I was considering selling some of my work on some of those stock photo sites. Has anyone done that before and if so, how has it worked for you and how much money can you actually make that way? Thanks so much!

- EBAY
- Try offering your services to parents to photograph thei children like at sports events, eg soccer
- Ebay is always good I actually made a lil money using ebay Wadup007
- You can set up your own website (for example using www.freewebs.com) and sell the copyright of your photos along with prints. You can advertize your website on google, through friends, in shop windows and using business cards. The price depends on the quality of the photo but my friend has sold some of his photos and he puts the price at $10 per print for most of his work. Though I'm sure you can sell it for a higher price as soon as you've become a recognized photographer. Deviantart (www.deviantart.com) is a good website in order to advertize your photos. Good luck!
- the first thing is that people need to know u so i guess u can start promoting yourself with free brochures and catalogues. Also you can put your work on any blog site or sell your photos to any stock photography site
- sounds like you wanna be a freelancer. i'd say advertising your art work where ever and whenever you can. ebay's good, might wanna try art.com as well. its hard at first because business is slow but if you're good at what you do then your business will boom. good luck! ps oh yeah, try looking around on the web or something. ask around and try to get your name out there
