Im a beginner photographer. are these good photos?
i'm only 16. and recently discovered my love for taking photos. idk if i could make it my career or just do it on the side. prolly not cause i most likely suck at this too. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/quitepeachyindeed/DSCF0886.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/quitepeachyindeed/DSCF0787.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/quitepeachyindeed/DSCF0861.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/quitepeachyindeed/train.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/quitepeachyindeed/DSCF0284.jpg

- The picture of the road is amazing. Just remember try to make your picture interesting. A bad example of a photo is the picture of the electric lines, nothing pops out because the wood of the lines blends in with the trees. Good Luck, your off to a great start.
- These are great! I love them. :] I'm interested in photography as well. I'm looking foward to taking pictures soon. My camera is broken. D: I think you could make something of yourself. If thats not what you want at least make it a side thing.
- I love the second pic, of the road and shadows. Very interesting. That one really stands out. The rest of your photos aren't bad, but they don't leave an impression on me. Keep working at it and if you don't make a career out of it, at least you have found yourself a new life-long hobby.
- they were ok. you definently have potential. try getting better angles and better things to shoot. but great overall. :)
- Like your stuff, i think you are great at it !!
- I love the road picture too, because it's different than I'm used to seeing. The key is to provide the viewer with a perspective they aren't used to seeing to get their attention. I also like the train image-- it has very strong compositional diagonal lines that are pleasing to me. The reason I don't like a few of the others as well as these are because my personal aesthetic is for everything to line up and be straight.. ugh it's hard to explain.. but for example, in the picture with the mailbox and the one with the sign, the mailbox post and the sign are leaning and that bothers me! lol However, as I said, that could totally just be my own personal preference. =]
- I think a few of those have show you have a good eye for capturing interesting moments. Don't be afraid to look around in your community for Photography classes. If you are really thinking about a career it's never to soon to start a portfolio for college admissions. If you have time take an art class at your school too, and if you don't have time no art teacher would say no to meeting with you and helping you with tips on how to get into an art school.
- these are good. the lines and the train even the mail box. if you want constructive reviews. I'm on a site that does just that photographers from everywere view and let you know what they think and how to fix it if nesacery. The phographers workshop. look into it
- they're pretty good for a beginner. just keep practicing and take up some classes or learn about photography online. ps.you dont suck :)
- I'm not wild about the sign or the mailbox, but the other three are very good. Granted, I don't know much about photography. I enjoy taking pictures as well, and I'm fiteen. I think you've got a lot of talent; I don't know anyone who can capture the essence of the location like that. =)
- Most of the above missed out on what was the more interesting points in 3 of your photos The utility pole where you would expect to see only the river below makes a mediocre shot seem unique. I had an urge just to enlarge the photo and get a better look at the structure The inspection sign, where the sign it's self needs a bit of inspection and repair. The colorful train brightening up up a drab landscape has a lot going for it The two that could be improved on were: The mail box: Here is where most beginners make the most mistakes. Imagine, the mail box in the 1/3 quad, horizontal and on the vertical, of the finished product as you frame up the shot and it would be as good as the rest. The middle of the road shot: By cropping out the green grassy area , it would have been one of those, "what am I looking at"? photos
- yes they are all good
