How can I sell photos without giving hem away?

I do photography and I was thinking about selling prints online, but people can always copy and paste the picture or print it out on photo paper for free... How do I stop that? Or maybe you can suggest other ways to sell

1. You should create a website. There is also a way when you make your website that wont let people copy and paste , because I tried it on someones website before. Or maybe you can frame the pictures and sell them . good luck =]
2. put tags on your photography. like some copyright watermarks over the pic.
3. I know there is some code that will disable right-clicking on web pages, and although you can still get around that it usually keeps most people from saving them. Unfortunately I don't know the code, but I *think* it's in JavaScript. Also, most people put up small, low resolution versions up - good enough quality for them to see it - but not good enough to make a print or a background out of them.
4. Post a low-res version, or one with a watermark on it. But I would suggest posting ONE picture high-res with no strings, to show what you're capable of.
5. There are websites that will host photos that do not allow someone to take them off the website. You can also use a watermark.

7. That's a good question. I'm not really sure. Maybe you need to rely on the honesty of big publishers who are aware they need to pay for photos. Also have a clear way they can contact you to buy the photos - such as contact details on the photo. Actually, have the picture fully obscured by your contact details - then you can sell an un-obscured copy to someone who buys it.
8. On line sites to sell photography / artwork do get much better than Fine Art America. You upload high res photos at large size. The photos are automatically right click disabled. Of course, anyone can do screen capture and snag a photo anyway, but the low res quality of a print made from a screen capture is horrible, so you are really worrying about nothing. You price your work at whatever you want for each size. When someone wants to purchase a photo, Fine Art America does the printing, collects the money, and ships it directly to the customer. You are paid monthly by check or Pay Pal. Really a terrific deal for $30 a YEAR. Many sites will charge more than that per MONTH. Be forewarned though, they do not accept crap! Your photos must be of high quality, in both subject and digital quality... no squiggles or pixelation from poor photo quality. The site is actually free to open an account and upload photos. 9. Use low resolution with a watermark, if they pay it gives them a link to the full image without watermark which times out and/or limits the number of downloads. Alternatively, if your good, you can make a portfolio of your best shots an hawk them round local galleries. They will be very critical of your work, but definitely offer the best prices. Chris
10. watermarks don´t work you can erase them with photoshop. and if you can´t copy paste you use another application like grab on mac's so i would say the best way is uploading them on a low resolution so it looks awful when downloaded.
11. The images you put up on the web should be low DPI low resolution. Also watermark them. Then, when you sell a print, you print it without the watermark, in high res/DPI and ship it to the customer.
