How can one sell their work online?
I would like to sell a few things, for example Photography prints. Mainly because I'm saving up money for this one particular object, and since my parents aren't allowing me to get a job.. at the age of 16,I guess my closes bet will be to sell a few things online. But,the problem is I don't have a credit card? I suppose one is needed in order to sell, correct? Is it possible for me to just open a blank account and still be able to sell prints, what can i do? Which website do you is recommended to sell prints? Deviantart Ebay .... etc Thanks in advanced. Postcards, great idea. See,the confusing part for me is If I don't need to have a credit card, let's say someone wishes to buy a print ..how do I receive the money?

- Maybe you should just open up a weblog or blog. Sell your prints and get your friend's blogs to advertise. And put links in online art forums. Also, remember to prevent people from right-clicking and copying any photo on your blog. Still, some people might be able to hack in and steal your photos. Or maybe you could approach postcard making companies?
- you could put them on myspace and on ebay..i dont think you have to have a credit card...you're not buying anything, they are. and just spread the word about them being for sale and tell your friends to check 'em out on your myspace. Then invest in some protective sheer paper and start taking orders and shippin em out!
- Check out Cafepress.com. You can set up a basic (free) or premium store ($6.95/mo.) It takes a while to get successful, but there is a lot of traffic. Good luck! If you like, check out my Store at http://www.cafepress.com/jimmcdadephoto
- dotphoto.com, you can set up a free store front there
- Try RedBubble.com ... you don't need a credit card, they will send you a check... also BigStockPhoto.com ...
- I would try ebay. they have pay pal but you will still need a bank account. I have also noticed alot of photographers selling prints on myspace.
- have a look at this http://www.inmagine.com/ or http://www.alamy.com/ or my free help site at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/sellingyourphotography/
- I recomment deviant ART and etsy. I am obsessed with etsy and it is pretty easy to set up shop and sell. You should set up a paypal account. You may be able to do this with just a checking account number. Maybe you can ask your parents to help you out? Some sellers only accept checks and money orders so that is another option. www.etsy.com Additional details: How paypal works is that once someone purchases an item off you your paypal account is credited. Then you can transfer those funds to your bank account. I usually transfer the money to my checking account. Or you can leave the money in there and purchase other items with it.
