Save up some pocket money and wait until you have learnt how to take care of it.

3. I am in 4-h and I took the photography project and you get a little work book to help you also, Photography for Dummies is a good one[I love it]. As for the camera...well those happen to be very expensive for a good one. My Grandmother gave me hers...I wouldn't waste time buying a 'beginner' camera. Get one that will grow with you. Mine is professional and I love it, I just don't use the extra things it has that I don't need now and as I progress I will learn more about those but, I haven't even started developing my own film yet!
