Do you have to be a licensed photographer to sell portrait photography?

I dont want to get in trouble for photographing portraits without a license. Do you have to have one as an amateur photographer?

1. Not that I'm aware of. Would it be difficult for you to get one just in case? You can sell things on DeviantArt without a license.
2. a photography license isn't needed, but if you'd like to get one, you just pay a fee for a business license. but if you are a free lance artist, there's no need for a license. so don't worry about it.
3. Check with your city official's office and find out. You'll need to report it as income though. Uh, how qualified are you to "sell" portraits? Or are they just pictures. Is your work good enough to be sold as a portrait.
