- check Ebay there's a camera category and you can narrow it down by price Which camera to get is really preference. For instance, do you want a point and shoot or an SLR? If it's just for learning, anything will do.
- Yikes... I dunno... I am a beginner and I just bought a Nikon D60. It isn't cheap, but it's great. I'm not saying I have a lot of money... I put it on a card. It was worth it though!
- It depends very much on what you want from the camera. You should ask do you want a simple point and shoot camera, which will be ok for holiday snaps, but won't deliver brilliant photos of landscapes and portraits. If this is what you want then go for a small simple camera. My first camera was a small Sony. It worked extremely well and i was very happy until i found i needed something more. If you want something a bit more and want to take photography a bit more seriously, and will be thinking a lot more about composition and other factors, go for a more up-market camera. A good one for a beginner would be something like a FujiFilm, such a camera delivers better zoom and more effects for lighting conditions, but is still simple to use. These range from about £300-£400 pounds. Higher quality camera can go up to over £1000 An SLR camera is a digital Single Lens Reflex camera. For more info, Wikipedia or use a good dictionary. Hope this helps :)
- I dont know the specifics of SLR, but they are the best cameras you can get. You can easily manually focus with them and they take the pictures instantly, whereas regular digital cameras take a few seconds to focus in. Many people have different opinions, some are good to follow and others will have you wasting your money. If I were you, I would talk to your parents (unless you have a debt/credit card) and subscribe to consumerreports.org. They review EVERYTHING on the market from cars to TVs, to digital cameras. They tell you everything you would need to know and they will rate the cameras while also having a "consumer reports best buy" which is the best camera for the price. You can subscribe monthly for about $5.00 I think but they will automatically charge you for the next month unless you cancel. So just get on that site and see which camera is right for you, then cancel before they get you for another $5.00. It'll be worth paying for this info so you get the best camera for the money you have.
