Where can I sell my photography from?

I am just starting out but I know there are some places online you can sell your photography from but was hoping someone could suggest what is the best way to go. I'm not going to open a gallery or anything, but figured I'd see if ppl were interested in buying some of my work. Websites, personal experience, etc, would be very welcomed! Thanks :) Do most ppl print then ship the art themselves or have another party do it? I don't really want to be worried with that.

  1. I haven't tried this website out but its a possiblity: deviantart.com Good luck.
  2. ebay, amazon
  3. Farmers market?!?!
  4. You could also try http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php I know to use any photos from there, you have to buy it because it's exclusive to istockphoto but it remains coprighted to you the person who put it on there! I hope that helps! EDIT This is what the site says : "It's free to become a member. Find the perfect stock image, and start downloading right away. Or contribute your own work for sale on iStock. Visit our Training page, and start uploading digital images to the largest design community in the world."
  5. I work in a resturant. Around any holiday I bring in my portfolio and sell prints to my co-works. Mothersday and Fathersday are two big once.
  6. You should check out www.makemoneywithphotos.com
  7. Have a look at these two websites. One of them you have to get your prints done on your own and ship them the other one they will do it. http://www.etsy.com http://www.smugmug.com/ Hope this helps, Kevin
  8. If you're turning pro, try below links. http://www.inmagine.com/submissions.php http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php I heard some people are making a lot of money from eBay selling photos. Online is not an easy place to sell stock photos at good prices, there are a lot of competitions. Do not depend solely on selling online. Your local magazines and newspapers are usually better source of income. If you capture unique moments at a public event, many publishers will pay good money for it even if they had their own photographers at the events. It is best to approach photo editors (many are too busy to bother with amateurs) with actual photo that might interest them. For example, travel section editor might be interested in unique photos of some vacations spots. Sports editor might be interested in "perfect" picture of a baseball player's bat hitting the ball for a game winning home run. FYI, many beginning pros support themselves financially by taking wedding photos, youth sports, etc. I hope this helps... Good Luck!!!
