Is there any way I can sell my own images on these online photography sites?

Out of these 15 sites: BigStockPhoto iStockPhoto Dreamstime Shutterstock StockXpert 123 Royalty Free CanStockPhoto Fotolia Shutterpoint Photo Stock Plus CreStock SnapVillage Nature Photo Index Scoopt Citizenside I have seen a lot of photographers selling their pictures. But in my case, I will be having a professional photographer take my pictures, and then I would be the one selling them. So I just want to know, where would I go to do that without getting in trouble? Online or not. Any help would be so very much appreciated. Thanks guys :-). Love, Ash♥

  1. You would have to purchase the copy rights from the photographer first.
  2. as said you would have to purchase the copyright from the photographer sometimes it is easier to take them yourself and sell them on an arty site like this http://www.redbubble.com/people/RichardKeech
  3. No you cannot sell others photographs without their express permission. If you are having your shots taken by anyone then, even though you may be paying for the session, the copyright rests with the photographer. You effectively can use them for personal use only, i.e. in an album prints for your viewing. If you want to sell them on then you need to get either a usage license or have the photographer assign copyright to you. The vast majority of pro photographers will NOT assign copyright but for a price will assign usage rights. $
