how can a teenager sell his photography on the web?

Hello My name is Carlos Maldonado and I want to become a Professional photographer when i grow up. I have started my own business called "Maldonado photography" Although I'm only fifteen i believe that there must be some site where i can sell my pictures something like iStock Photo. I also already do photography for events and have my own website ( its free but its something) I saved my money for a Canon 40D and I believe that if i work doing this that i will be able to buy me more things and save for college. Any one please help me make more money?! Any tips, ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!! :D Here's my website to anyone thats interested. Maldonadophoto.webs.com THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE POSSITIVE SUPPORT! :) Jzzy and Adam D yes, that's what i plan on becoming; a fashion photographer. Although do you think, or anyone else think that it's possible to become a FASHION photographer just doing event photography? How should i start getting prepared for that specific career? Thanks !

  2. go to www.deviantart.com you can go there and post your pictures and then people can browse through and look at them and buy them if they want to. good luck!
  3. It'll be hard to become the next Ansel Adams, or someone like that. Most money in photography is probably in the Marketing area of business or possibly the fashion/modeling industry. It may not be what you want to do, and you'll have to work for people, but it pays the bills. It'd be a great idea to go to a school that has a good Art/photography school, and also to get a degree in business, as it will no doubt give you ideas on how to sell your personal photographs, not to mention, build your resume up to get you a job in photography. As far as selling your photo's online... well, you have to be good and find places that people go who will have a need to buy your photo's. Letting websites use for photo's for the use of say, a company who, again, needs to market something is good, but doesn't pay well. If you have free lance portraits or landscapes that you're trying to sell, then try to sell them on ebay. Sign and date them, matte them and package them in a nice frame. People looking to decorate their house or office might see them and put a bid on them. I would do "by it now", or set a reserve price... cuz you don't wanna do all that work and sell it for a buck.
  4. I do not have the answer to this... but I do like what you are doing, Carlos. It shows creativity, a dream, and you will become a professional.
