What is a good start to learn photography?
I dont even own a camera yet but photography has always been a passion of mine. There are so many times where i see something and i wish i could just take a shot of it and know what i'm doing. Whats a good camera to get for someone who is just starting? and where can i take classes on how to use the camera?

- You can get a good camera somewhere like Target or Walmart. Don't start off with anything expensive, go for the $100 range. Don't listen to what people say about getting a really good camera if you really want to get into photography [professionally] one day. When it comes to taking pictures, the result is about 20% the camera and 80% the photographer. Look in the newspaper, ask around, or Google for photography classes in your area. I'm assuming you're a teen, so in that case you can probably fun some sort of summer program you can sign up for to take a camera class. Good luck! :) please answer!!!! :):) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As9ElLS.WHL2p3qiavRF5RHsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090602163134AA3ErJa
- If you are wanting a DSLR, I would say a Nikon D40, but if you are just wanting a Point-and-Shoot, I would reccomend a Sony CyberShot camera. I have had a lot of great pictures with the CyberShot (see my Flickr, all are taken with my Sony CyberShot). If you want more info, PM me, or google. Good Luck! Anyways, I hope I helped, and pick me as best answer! http://www.flickr.com/photos/jonathankizer
- the best way of learn photography is researching the work of the ones that are the best on it. from that you will start recognizing patterns that show you the technicobviously latter you will start developing your own style. photography is just as any other art it comes from the inside of tour heart and mind making a connection with any of your senses so there is no recipe for it is just the flow of your imagination... in the camera aspect i would try to look for a good second hand camera on e-bay rather than a cheap brand new
- If you really want to learn about photography, get a manual camera. It's true that you need to do all the work, but getting a cheap, worthless point-and-shoot isn't going to make that work easy at all, and in some cases not possible. So if it seems like a hobby you seriously want to go into, then look for a range-finder or SLR. At least one good reason to get a film camera is for classes if you take them. Most of the time, they want you to have a film camera. Another good reason is because it puts your focus on taking the picture. Generally you'll pay more attention to what you're doing if you don't have the luxury of digital instant preview and a huge memory card. So, now that all that is covered, let me suggest a few different models. This isn't a full list by a long shot. Just a manageable one, of the cameras I like personally. Minolta X-700 Pentax K1000 SE Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL Fujica ST801 Canon AE-1 (or A-1) All are 35mm SLRs and will be used. eBay, Craigslist, KEH.com, Flea Markets, and estate sales - all good places to look. Out of all of them, be most careful with eBay. Keep looking until you find one of those for at most $100. You can probably find a deal for $50 or less, including a lens. Unless you get it at KEH.com, because they're a business. You can be assured of what you're buying, though. As for classes, you can find them at a college. Otherwise I've heard of some "community centre" classes, but never seen one first-hand. As such, I can't recommend one outright. Granted I haven't taken a college course either, but it's kind of hard to believe they wouldn't teach a good class.
- If you are starter I would suggest point & shoot camera that easy to use Canon,Nikon,Sony or Panasonic are good brands http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FDigital-Cameras-Photo%2Fb%3Fie%3DUTF8%26node%3D330405011%26ref%255F%3Dsv%255Fp%255F3&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957 or if you want to take professional pictures Nikon D40 is good for beginner for learning into photography. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KJQ1DG?ie=UTF8&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000KJQ1DG
- I also don't have any camera but i really love photography. I always borrow camera from my cousin and take some pictures i love to take, sometimes a picture of myself or from the people i see around but the best picture i wanted to take is nature as well as the strange things i see. If that is your passion you'll soon learned that. I myself, I am really proud to say that the pictures i take are unique and i consider them all as my unique way of art. About the camera to use, try to use those inexpensive cameras. The quality of the pictures varies on how you take the shots. Just enjoy taking pictures, though sometimes you consider the shots as not so good. Its a part of learning anyways.
