How to start some photography?
I'm about to be a senior in high school next year and i wanted to take photography class but it couldn't make it's way onto my schedule. I want to start doing some photography on my own this summer, but I'm not really sure how to start such. Any suggestions? I just need a place to begin.

- start to take pictures of landscaping like flowers then ask somebody if they think there nice then start to take pictures of animals then people
- Please god just don't. No photography; no poetry. If you want to be an artist, paint something.
- Just go out and start taking pictures of anything you find interesting and beautiful and don't look over them til you're all done. Experiment with perspective, take shots from different angles or get really close up or far away. Get a friend to be your model and take pictures of her. After you've got the hang of taking pictures, learn more about lighting, the rules of photography, and how to edit your pics.
- Well to get yourself warmed up to the idea, try taking pictures of whatever you see. Signs, household objects, people, anything. Carry your camera around everywhere you go and keep an eye open. Beauty can be found anywhere, the idea is capturing it. Try testing out different angles, lighting, exposure and things like that, camera settings, and messing around with a Photoshop type program. You can begin building a portfolio on websites like Deviantart.com.
- Experimenting really is the best way to learn. You'll also need to understand your camera and how it works. I suggest looking for a few guides such as these http://www.photoguides.net/understanding-your-camera http://www.photoguides.net/aperture http://www.photoguides.net/exposure http://www.photoguides.net/rule-of-thirds http://www.photoguides.net/depth-of-field Hopefuly they're of help but once again ill say the best way to learn is to experiment. Good luck
