What is the best way of going about selling my photography online?

I'm an amateur photogrpher (well, I did take a few classes in photography) and I would like to sell some of my prints online. Is there a website that will tell me how to do this? Also, is there a website that will allow me to post my photos for sale??? or should I create my own website??? I appreciate your help. 1. dotphoto.com will allow you to sell them - they have cheap printing prices too - tell 'em I sent ya! :-)

3. I think it would be less expensive for you to start out selling the photos locally. Once you have established yourself then you can begin to invest in advertisement and sales. Try local art shows. Try framing some of the photos and asking local retailers to place them in their windows. Sell some at flea markets. If you know of any artists or photographers in your community ask them if they would help you out by allowing you to present some of your works in their displays. Get started first. You do not want to put the cart in front of the horse.
